• What is PhotoAlbum ?
  Probably, you need to look into English dictionary and check it there. Shortly - something, that allows you to keep your photos in order. This one is web-based, which gives you a possibility to make your photos available online without taking too much effort in the process of doing so.
• What do I need to use it ?
  You need a digital camera or scanner, web-server with PHP language and GD library installed as well as your strong desire to get it done.
• Where can I download it from ?

• How can I find out if PHP or GD library support is available on my web server?
  Copy test.php file to your web server and open it in your web browser, it will tell you. Another option will be to ask a technical support of your hoster.
• Do I need to create thumbnails first ?
  No ! Your server will take care of it. The only thing you need to do is to copy original photos from your camera to the web server. Also, you can create a file with image descriptions. It's completely up to you.
• How can I allow my friends to download original pictures to print them with a good quality ?
  Instruct them to choose a "client" mode. Then, to right-click on a picture, and select "Save picture as" option in the browser menu to save it to a hard drive. It will be taken with the original resolution and quality.
• Does it make any backups ? I've heard something about it...
  No. Original photos, that you have copied to your web server are considered as a backup in addition to your main storage on your computer, DVDs, etc.
• Why did you make it yourself ? There are many others available...
  I needed some automated gallery for my own photo collection, that will perform a set of specific functions. At that time I was unable to find any product with simular functionality. So, I had to do it myself. Anyways, it took me only a couple of days...
